General Santos City - The Department of Social Welfare and Development calls to strengthen the network building strategies in view of implementing the sustainable livelihood program of the government.
Vergil Cabugayan, PDO III of the DSWD central office stressed during the program evaluation and planning recently that Public-Private Partnership must be enhanced through linkaging efforts of program planners and implementors of livelihood programs.

KORONADAL CITY – DepEd Supervisor of Tboli East District Marian Sabod recently lauded the implementation of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program in Indigenous People’s areas such as Tboli and Lake Sebu in the province of South Cotabato. During a radio interview in “Kaya ng Pinoy Tumawid sa Kaunlaran” program simulcast in 5 radio networks in the region, Sabod said, “4Ps has increased the attendance of our students, in fact there was a 20% increase in enrollment in the school this year. It has also minimized their absences and decreased the drop out rate.” She also mentioned some significant changes and improvement of her students including the capacity of parents to afford their children new school supplies. She claimed, “Before, I notice my students finding difficulty to write because of using too short flimsy pencils that can no longer fit their hands. But now, I feel glad to see parents providing their children with new learning materials for their kids.”
